eartquakeNew Delhi, Tuesday, April 28 – The whole world was taken by surprise when tremors shook Nepal and most of the Indian states mid-afternoon during the weekend. The repetitive and high magnitude earthquakes let populace stay in fear. It generated the panic when several countrymen and tourists in Nepal couldn’t even understand what exactly happened a few minutes ago. If truth be told then situation in mountainous land is horrifying.

Due to debris all around, it is not possible for the disaster management team to provide food, water and indispensable medicines to the people. Landing of the choppers has also turned a bit difficult, letting them hover in the sky for more than a few minutes. Amid troublesome situation, it is India that took a step ahead to help the sufferers and Indians come back home safely.

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, and his government is receiving words of praise for standing firm in offering help to earthquake-hit Nepal. Thanks to their efforts, many citizens are able to land in India and unite with family members. This natural disaster has so far made more than 4000 people to untimely leave for heavenly abode.  Several mountaineers in the Everest base camp, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal also lost their lives in earthquakes.

The way things changed all of a sudden is perhaps hardly imagined by anyone. Experts call it a consequence of playing with the nature; cutting down trees to build skyscrapers. The buildings that do not follow the norms of construction and aren’t tremors resistant are standing on the verge of collapse. Had Delhi been the epicenter of earthquakes, numerous historic monuments and taller structures would have flattened within seconds.

Indian government is not leaving any stone unturned to assist the people who are eying help. Around 100 buses have been sent to Nepal to bring Indians back. Efforts are being made to let general public get adequate amount of eatables and food. Field hospitals are treating patients in the best way possible. However, everyone knows that the threat of more tremors looms and this is the reason why distressed Nepalese are sleeping in open. The aftershocks are spreading fear and expected to do the same in the near term as well.
